BLACC’s mission is to preserve, promote, and revitalize the Mokpe language and cultural heritage among the Fako people and the broader community.

Mola Samuel Kinge is the President of BLACC and Lead Instructor and Program Administrator of the Mokpe Language Curriculum

Chief Operations Officer

Iya Mary Liengu is the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for daily operations of activities and programs in BLACC

Senior Advisor

Mola Gobina Simon Mbwange is the Senior Advisor and head of BLACC’s Foreign Relations with Fako Diaspora

Director of Communications

Iya Lydia Efuffa Esongami is the Director of Media and Publicity for BLACC. Her role includes Fundraising Operations

Current Needs

Recording Equipment

The center needs digital camera and production software to document and promote the Bakweri language and culture. This equipment will enable us to create high-quality instructional videos, oral history recordings, and cultural documentaries, ensuring accessibility for future generations. Your support will help us preserve and share our rich heritage through professional digital content

Administrative Assistant

The center needs an Administrative Assistant to help manage programs, coordinate outreach, and support daily operations. This role is essential to sustaining our language and cultural initiatives. If you have the time and skills, volunteering is a great way to support our mission and help preserve the Bakweri language for future generations.

Content Management

The center needs support to manage its website, ensuring it remains updated and accessible. You can help by volunteering your skills for content management or contributing funds for web maintenance. Your support keeps our digital presence strong and promotes the Bakweri language globally.
